One of the best vacations I ever had. I had a lot of rest. The food was great. The company was really fantastic. Although the weather on the first day we arrived at Pulau Redang was rainy, it did not dampen my sense of happiness. The sun came up shortly and wow, it was just capital FUN after that. The journey there was an adventure. But I somehow managed to have a good sleep all the way. I pity my friend who was next to me as I was supposed to be talking to her but my sleepiness just couldn't be kept at bay.
I had a moment early one morning when it really threatened to spoil my holiday but I guess the glorious weather and again, the company of friends just about made the problem so insignificant that soon, I just forgot all about it.
One of the best moments was when a turtle swam just beneath me. In all my years of snorkelling, I only caught glimpses of turtles from a distance.
This time, it was really, really near and I felt that if I just reached out my hand I would have touched it. Being me, I'd rather stay motionless and just enjoy and savour the view while I can.
The KA-LI-TUI game was just fab. I haven't played it for over twenty five years and it brought back many memories of school. We used to play this game during our school days where the badminton courts became the 'arena' for this game. Although I had some muscle stiffness later in the night, the pain was worth it.
This island has indeed lots of good memories for me.
