Recently I attended our high school reunion in KL. As I had not seen most of my school mates since 1986, the year I was in Form 5, I approached the day with mixed feelings.
I wasn't sure if I wanted to attend too as it was kind of a rushed thing for me; but I am glad as my former classmate contacted me via Facebook, I felt a rush of excitement as I found out that a group from Penang was going for the reunion do. So my friend arranged everything for all of us and she was going to pick us all up from Juru.
I can't believe that when the four of them came and we actually saw each other for the first time since 1986 - I hate to be emo, but a little bit of tears welled up in my eyes. How the years have flown. And I am actually seeing them NOW. Of course, it is so natural for girls (oops!) to do the natural when we greet each other. SCREEEEAM !!SCREAAAM !!!
Eventually we reached KL and of course, had lunch and had a walkabout at the Curve.
When dinner came, everyone was really delighted and there were more screaming greeting as we figured out who was next coming through the door. Amazing, some have physically 'evolved' and we had a crazy time trying to figure out their names at the beginning.
I had a really good time. The missing years were quickly filled with stories, stories and stories !!! So much so, that those who attended this year wanted to have confirmation for next year's reunion to be done in Penang !!!
One former school mate even cooked up a wonderful lunch for us before we left for Penang.I must really say that she is a very good cook. And she is so blessed to have a good husband and family and...a really huge...HOUSE. Whoa !!!!

And this is our School Song which some of us can remember, (because they have daughters studying in Convent Light Street now)and some could only remember the first line (like me). This really about sums it all up :

All in all, I had a very good time catching up with my school mates.
