At A Cost

Wow. Sometimes we do things out of habit. Sometimes we do things upon reflex. Sometimes we do things out of good intentions. Sometimes by intuition. Sometimes we do things out of our concern for others. But what if these backfired at us ? We do the necessary to rectify if not clarify. But then again, it could make an impact everywhere else because of our actions. It could be positive impact or negative impact. Depends on the outlook and mindset of people around us.

Just today I received a 'pocketful of wordsworth' from a well-meaning friend of mine. Z is a mutual friend of both of us. After being informed of Z's situation, I asked for help from someone of Higher Authority to intervene on behalf of Z and apparently it caused quite an unexpected response from this friend of mine. The stand here is that I did not respect Z's privacy. But Z is someone whom I have a very high respect for and needed help. The least I can do is to look UP for help. I would never do anything to hurt Z. Oh well, the tide of misunderstanding always comes in between good intentions. When we look UP for help; the enemy don't like us.

After all that has happened, I conclude that although the unexpected reaction was unexpected, this friend of mine is truly a loyal and faithful friend of Z.

I understand where she is coming from and why she is not too happy. But I know that although I might have offended some quarters in doing what I did, although I might be in trouble for doing what I did, I did it with good intentions ; I was just heeding a call to stand in the gap for a dear friend.

Will all the troubles and trials stop me from standing in the gap for someone ? NO.

The world only goes round by misunderstanding.
~Charles Baudelaire~

Where misunderstanding serves others as an advantage, one is helpless to make oneself understood.
~Lionel Trilling~

A mistake is to commit a misunderstanding.
~Bob Dylan~

I have been misunderstood perhaps more than anyone else ever, but it has not affected me, for the simple reason that there is no desire to be understood. It is their problem if they don't understand, it is not my problem. If they misunderstand, it is their problem and their misery. I am not going to waste my sleep because millions of people are misunderstanding me.~Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh~

There will be always understanding and misunderstanding in all situation and action BUT Life must go on.~mosia~
